The Hymn of the Month will be “The Family of God” by the Gaithers, followed by light refreshments.  We will also be collecting canned goods for MCEF.  Please come, bring a friend, and join the fun and fellowship.


Sunday, June 6th

WORSHIP
Communion Service and Monthly Church Lunch.  This month we will have a “Pot-Luck Picnic”!  Everyone bring a favorite picnic food and we’ll eat together in the Pavilion.  Come and join us as we “kick off” the summer together!

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN’S MEETING – in Fellowship Hall.

All women invited!  Continuing our study of “Women of the New Testament” we will learn and reflect together about Mary, the mother of Jesus.  This will also be our last meeting of this year.  It’s not too late to join us – as we choose officers and plan for next year, which begins in September.

JULY, 2010 – CALENDAR OF EVENTS

 
Thursday, July 1st     SALEM SING-A-LONG
   10:00 am              The Hymn of the Month will be 
                              “Battle Hymn of the Republic” 
                              and we’ll sing patriotic songs 
                              from times past.  Wear your “red, 
                              white, and blue” and join us!  
                              Light refreshments served 
                              afterward.


Sunday, July 4th         COMMUNION SERVICE 
   11:00 am                There will be NO Church Lunch 
                                this month because of the fourth 
                                of July holiday.  We hope you will 
                                enjoy the opportunity to gather 
                                with family and friends.

Saturday, July 10th    ICE CREAM SOCIAL
   6:00-8:00 pm         Come have dessert!  Enjoy an 
                               Ice Cream Social at the Church.  
                               Bring your favorite toppings to 
                               share, such as nuts, M&Ms, 
                               spray whipped cream, etc.  If you 
                               would like to make homemade 
                               ice cream, that would be 
                               welcome also.  Organizer for this 
                               event is Elizabeth Moorhouse.

Sunday, July 11th     MEN’S & WOMEN’S 4-WEEK 
   7:00 pm                   BIBLE STUDIES BEGIN!
                             The Men’s Group will be studying 
                             and reflecting on the movie “Field 
                             of Dreams” and will be led by 
                             Matthew Randolph, our Summer 
                             Intern.
                             The Women’s Group will be 
                             studying a series by Tara Barthel 
                             called “Living the Gospel in 
                             Relationships” and will be led by 
                             Pastor Sandi Shaner.
                             We will meet Sunday evenings 
                             (July 11th, 18th, and August 1st 
                             and 8th) at 7:00 pm and we’ll 
                             finish no later than 8:30 pm.
                             We hope you’ll join us as we 
                             dig deeper into God’s Word!!
